Monday, july 17 at 9:30 am I encountered an animal walking along side our parking lot on the edge of the Greenway as I was heading into work. I came around from behind the cars and up through the space between two of them, facing me, less than 50 feet away. About the size of a large dog, beauful smooth golden to buff colored fur and chiseled face with the distinctive nose and eyes of the classic Mountain Lion face, but after we spent some time curiously checking each other out, I decided I was carrying my laptop and a workout bag and my lunch box and my purse, my cell phone (camera) was burried in one of my bags, so I decided I probly aught to just badge in finally and let the cat go about its business. It was spectacular! Now I am temporarily obsessed with finding out more about them. It was so beautiful. Neither of us was afraid of the other, simply respectful and curious. Truly a once in a lifetime moment! Thank goodness for the Greenway!
