According to Cromwell police, the body of a woman found in Sharon on Sunday was identified as a missing woman from their town.
The body of Carmen Kotula, 52, was found in a wooded area near the Appalachian Trail. Kotula was last seen on Feb. 21 and her car was found in the area of River Road in Sharon on Feb. 27.
According to a news release, Cromwell police had been "advised that the [Connecticut State Police] investigators found no criminal aspect surrounding the death."
Why didthey not do an autopsy to determine cause of death. Why were the pilice told "no criminal activity? Was it a mauling? The cause of death had to be obvious. If it was it will be covered up.
