Wild cat cub sighting in Avon, 8/23/10

Approximately 8:45pm tonight (Monday, August 23, 2010) saw a wild cat cub at edge of bridge over Farmington River soon after the turn onto Avon Old Farms Road off Route 10 in Avon. I was just driving on McDonald rd in Colchester at 11:00 am and it ran out in front of my car. It was beautiful but scared me as i realized it was a Eastern cougar/mountain lion. Seen August 15, 2010

ON SUNDAY 8/8/10 ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK, I SPOTTED A DEAD MOUNTAIN LION {FEMALE} ON ROUTE 2 IN LEDYARD CT. 06339. I AM AWARE THAT THEY ARE IN THIS STATE, HOWEVER I WAS A LITTLE SHAKEN TO ACTUALLY HAVE SEEN ONE.

I was almost certain I saw a mountain lion cross Nod Road in the spring. I went on line to look at pictures of different animals and felt sure it was a mountain lion. Last night my daughter arrived home very concerned. She saw 2 animals cross over Hazen Drive in Avon into Hazen Park.
