Rt. 44 in New Hartford

Evening of Sept 18 shortly after dusk spotted a large mountain lion standing on the east side of rt. 44 in New Hartford in the area between the entrance to the transfer station and the town center.
Candlewood Lake Sighting - NF

Near midnight on 9/12/10 I heard a loud animal cry. I ran out grabbing my flashlight and find a Heron wings out and squawking in the tributary stream of Candlewood Lake in New Fairfield CT. I pan the light and see a large solid tan cat (larger than my 75 pound dog) stalking the Heron.

On September 8,2010 I was driving home at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Route 4 in Harwinton past the elementary school when a mountain lion ran across the road in front of my car. He was a reddish blonde color about 4 feet long, low to the ground, compact head and small ears. He was fast.
