Black Panther Southbury
I live in southbury, CT. I started my walk around 05:30AM this moring (7/30/2016). I took a right from west flat hill road to purchase brook rd before reaching the stillson road.I saw a big black animal at the corner of the road. I just stood frozen. It looked like a big black animal. Then when it crossed the road I could see the long black tail close to the floor curving up. It looked like a black panther. Submitted by: Sangeetham Mathi

I believe I just saw a mountain lion this a.m., 5:30a.m. East Hartford looked for a site on CT sightings and found this. My gosh, I didn’t “see things” few years back on Rt 9North in the rain, yes same thing you saw walking against traffic! Tail was too long to be a dog. And weird thing, think I saw one on Rt 2 few days back, too dark too tell, but saw silhouette and glistening eyes! Awesome to get my wonderment on years back answered and all because I think I saw a M. lion- It had a darkness at end of tail , so that ruled out coyote and fox for me! Very light color. Unfortunately took off before I can get binoculars, as not fully light out, wanted better clarification.
