Bloomfield Mountain lion
On 6/21/2012 4:50 in morning , I was driving south on Maple Ave.in Bloomfield. Taking off from a stop sign, with a small land trust area on the corner of Maple ave. and Burr rd. on my r/s some large animal ran out of the land trust and crossed the road in front of me, with heavy brush in its path it was hesitant to jump into it, so it ran on the grass area closer to me, then jumped into the woods giving me a sight of my first Connecticut Mountain Lion, long tail and body. Some one else on this sight reported a sighting at Rte. 185 and Rte. 218 , about a 1/2 mile away with very dense marsh, on same large tract of land, but no need to call DEEP and report I must be seeing things!!!!! Some one is very close to getting pictures very SOOOON. Keep on looking in Bloomfield for this ghost cat.

On 8/22/12 around 6 AM I opened my front blinds and saw a big cat walking up my driveway! After getting a good look I went to grab the camera but he disappeared into the brush before I could get a picture. Later on I looked at photos of mountian lions to confirm that was what I saw. I also live in Bloomfield on Adams Rd (near Duncaster RD); I suspect he was coming from the open space (town land) across the street.
