Mountain Lion in Granbys

I went outside to clean up a few things under the deck and heard a little noise near a woodpile in our yard last Wednesday evening (Nov 10, 2010 about 5-5:30ish PM). I was about 20 ft away from the woodpile and thinking it might be an animal, made a little noise to be sure the animal knew I was out there.

Next thing I saw was a cat about as tall to the shoulder as our 50 lb dog, but with a longer body, small head and long tail.

Once I realized what it was (and how close I had been to it!), I went back into the house.

My best guess is that she was hunting small animals in the woodpile and I disturbed her.

I really have to do something about that woodpile!
