2 years ago I end up face to face with Mountain Lion. I was working on my truck with garage door open. That thing came next to the doors and stared at me for a minute then walk away slowly. I am pretty sure he was considering attacking me but did choose not to. I was glad I had plenty of tools around me so My wife would have nice coat that winter.
5 months ago we had two of them come and climb the tree next to my house after dark. We did not known what is happening until one decided to climb down scared by flashlight.
I think Connecticut DEP should do something before there is horrible accident.
BTW when I first told this story my friends told me I am crazy and it was bobcats, this week I visited Cabals store and saw how the mountain lion looks like and now I am 100% sure what I saw was mountain lion.

Glad to know I’m not going crazy, because I saw one in the woods last Sunday, July 1, 2012.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a mountain lion run across the street as I was going up Lumm Lot Rd in Southbury @ about 1:40 this afternoon. A women coming from the opposite direction witnessed the same incident & stopped to ask me if I saw the same thing.
I have no doubt that this was a mountain lion. It’s muscular build, it’s tail & the speed at which it was running was amazing ! I would estimate it to be around 60 or so lbs., about the size of a small German Shepard dog. It happened so fast.
