On March 22, 2013 at 4pm I saw a large "cat" in my yard. My first thought was a bobcat, but after describing the cat to my daughter, she said it was a mountain lion. The cat was big, sandy in color and had a long tail. We looked up images on the web and sure enough what I saw was a mountain lion.
The mountain lion was staring down a few deer in my yard. The deer were about 75 feet from my window so I got a good look. One of the larger male deer was standing his ground. He kept stomping his hooves. After a little the mountain lion gave up on his prey and turned around up into the wooded area. I'm now on look out to get better pictures.
I thought recording this sighting would help because there was one about 15 mintues away on March 16, 2013. I live in the Stadley Rough Area. Submitted by : Pat Iapaluccio

Today, 14May15, in the Aunt Hack / West Lake part of Danbury, my 20 year old son saw what he described as a cat matching the description above. He is an avid outdoorsman both here in Danbury and at our central VT camp. He knows bobcats, fox, coyotes, etc. He doesn’t think it was any of those. Definitely a large cat with a long tail.
