May 4th, 6pm. MTB on silent trail came across a MTN Lion taking a drink. Startled him and he had to run up the trail away from me about 40 feet prior to ditching in the woods where the was no longer swamp. Looked to be a 2-3 year old cat. A bit lean. It got my heart racing and feel super lucky to see such a beautiful wild animal. I am in the woods 5 day/week year round and have heard about sightings but what a treat!
