Big cat on Canal Trail in Enfield
As I was riding from Mass just crossing over into Grandby on the Canal Trail, I saw what I thought was a Yellow Lab. The animal had a short tan coat, and long tail .It was moving away from me down the path, and I could only see its back side. I slowed somewhat so I wouldn't get to close, and at about 50 yards, it turned to go back into the woods from the marsh I saw its head. I jammed on my brakes as I saw what it was, A BIG CAT! It did not have the big whiskers of a Bobcat, so I am guessing it was a cougar. I kicked it in to pass the spot where the animal crossed the path, but did not see anything, and I wasn't stopping to look for tracks, sorry. I met a woman and her shepard about a 1/4 mile down the path, and told her not to head up the path any further, and the animal I saw was at least the size of her dog. She turned and headed back down the path away from the spot I was the Cat.

BTW: ever notice how Cougar Network & the Cougar Rewilding Group, along with
scientists claim: western cougars are traveling east from ‘great’ distances & show dozens of pictures.
Yet here in the east, for the last 40 years, whenever a sighting is reported, according to the
above named groups & state DNR officials are quick to jump on:
1) witness has bad eyesight, 2) animal is misidentified, 3) sceintists are quoted: NO cougars exist in the east, 4) some cougars are known to have shorten tails, or the CN & ECRF.
I’m using computers at Petersburg Library, due to modum on my home computer going down convienently for 3rd time in 23 days. Seems as though my computers or modum fail after every time I sned out messages…
