Possible Cougar Sighting

9/28/2012 This morning I was driving west on Route 1 in Waterford where the large power lines from Millstone pass overhead. At about 11:15 AM, a large,stocky feline crossed the road about 75 feet in front of my car. The cat's body was about 3 feet long, standing about 3 feet high at the shoulder, with a tail at least half as long as his body. Definitely not a bobcat. Coloring was a solid greyish brown. I did not notice any ear or face markings. It's general appearance was heavy or stocky, not spindly limbed. I have seen bobcats and this cat was at least twice their size.
