Canterbury Cat

In August 2012, I was out scouting the hay fields along the Quinebaug river in Canterbury Ct. just west behind Packer Rd. I know these field very well as I spent every afternoon for three years hiking them and scout hunting spots for future reference as I was looking out over a field at the old Canterbury dump site I noticed a large golden tan colored object moving throw the three foot high hay on the very edge of the patch of over growth that sits in the middle of the field at first I thought it was my golden retriever Ana but then quickly remembered she was at home with my wife in the house, I never let my dogs out while I scout seeing as the field in only a few hundred yards from my house and don't want them to be mistaken from other hunters that are in these woods.
As I watch this animal I began to realize this wasn't just someone's dog or cat, at about five feet long from head to tail at a distance of about a hundred yards give or take a few feet this animal was to big to be that it was in a crouching position slowly moving south to the rivers edge as if it was trying not to be seen but I was about 60 or 70 feet higher in elevation looking down on it I realized it had to be a big cat recently as of this winter I've found a number of dead deer throw out the wood lining the river and have even got a photo of what I thing is a print I toke a year prier to the siting about four miles away from my house on property that connects to the state forest
