Mt Lion in Simsbury Town Forest 1984

Back in 1984 my husband and I were driving late at night very slowly down the dirt road portion of Town forest road in Simsbury. An animal appeared right in front of our car and froze. We stopped to avoid hitting it. It stood still looking at us for a few seconds and then turned its head and slowly walked away. As it walked away we could see from the way it's shoulders moved that it was a cat. It was about 150 lbs and tawny brown. It had a thin long (2 1/2 - 3 foot) long tail. It was as tall at the shoulders as an extremely large dog. Neither of us will ever forget that night and we are both certain that what we saw was a Mt Lion.
