  1. Did you put the scat in a bag, if not please put in it in a bag and keep it out off the sun.

Take a picture off it with a ruler next to it and send us the pictures please.

    Thank you,
    Research Team

    • I did all the things you said and I also contacted DEP. The man I spoke with said that the scat was too old for testing (it had already turned white) and that even the most experienced people misidentify scat, therefore, it is of no signifigance. I’ll send photo asap. We have also ordered a trail camera which we will be mounting in the area of the scat and previous sighting. thanks.

      • I posted a comment earlier on this website, but i have also seen a mountain lion crossing i-95 in stonington. Wonder if its the same cat.

  2. We think we saw the same one, we don’t live far from this sighting.

  3. Of course it is of no significance, they have already decided there was 1 magic cat, it crossed the nation, they sampled its scat at every turn, it moved itself instantaneously from Fairfield to Milford using a surplus transporter from Star Trek, it then used voodoo to be seen again in Fairlfeild after it was struck and killed in Milford, it was and is the only Mountain Lion to ever enter Ct since 1754, we know, we’re the govt.——sarcasm

  4. On Saturday, August 13, 2011 we too spotted what we beleive to be a mountin lion. I live on Providence New Turnpike, North Stonington, CT.

  5. i hike lantern hill all the time right near where you live. i ve spent coutless hours hiking fishing etc. and never even seen a print. i will be bringing my dogs next time i go up there again. great post
