Cougar sighting
While driving back to CT from vacation on I84 East, on 4/16/14 at approximately 10:30/11PM, we were traveling at highway speed and a very large cougar/big cat bounded across the highway in front of us to the median. I was afraid it would get killed on the other side with a tractor trailer and some cars, but my husband seemed to think the cougar made it/had good traffic timing. It was dark out but best guess would be light/sandy colored coat, long tail. Body seemed to be as big as width of our car with tail easily. Looked BIG/mature. We couldn't believe wha we had seen being from Manchester. This was just at outskirts of Danbury area. Perhaps headed North toward Candlewood Lake? Won't soon forget it!
