Large Cat, predator near beach

I was driving home from a friends at 11:00pm June, 3rd when I noticed a very large cat-line creature pricing around the road. This sparked my interest because I have never seen a cat this large anywhere expect a zoo. It had a smaller head, with a lean body, and strong, beefy legs. It walked around with ease and confidence. I tried to snap a picture of the animal and then when It came right next to my vehicle, I felt strange the cat wasn't afraid of me at all, but was nearly checking me out as well. Then I continued my drive home, and after more research can certainly conclude it was a mountain lion living near the beaches of Short Beach in Branford Ct, off of Short Beach Rd.
