Mountain lion in East Hampton, CT

I saw a mountain lion at the end of Feb. 2013 (2 weeks after blizzard Nemo). Sorry I am just reporting it now, but I am originally from NY and didn't know I should report it, or where, till a relative (whom I told about my sighting) sent me your website today, 5/14/14.
It was around 3pm, at the edge of our neighbors' back woods, by the end of their driveway, 50 feet from our house. Between us we have 18 acres of woods, with many more acres of woods behind other neighbors' houses all down our street. The woods have watery seeps here and there. We have had coyotes, foxes, and deer off and on (a lot of deer lately!). This animal was standing up on its hind legs behind the low stone wall, with its front paws on the wall, its left side towards me. Its torso was about 3 feet long. Its fur had no spots, it was a tan color but with a lot of orange in the tint. At first I thought it might be a fox, because of the color. The head and tail were facing away from me (it must have gotten distracted and turned to look at the neighbor's food garden area). Then it straightened out and I saw a long tail - about 2 1/2 feet long, shaped like a rope, with a rounded end. So I knew it wasn't a fox, because it didn't have a fluffy tail, and the nose wasn't long and pointed, it was rounded. I was so shocked that I just sat and stared at it. Didn't get my cellphone because it was at the other side of the house and I was glued to the window. It remained still for a couple of minutes, then dropped down behind the stone wall and huge snowplow drifts (at the end of the driveway, next to the stone wall), and out of sight, back into the woods (there was a wall of snowplow drifts at that point, so I couldn't see exactly where it went). I googled various animals and found a photo of a mountain lion that matched it, although the one in the photo was larger and didn't have as much orange tint to the fur. Two months later we went to Cabela's, where I saw two stuffed (taxidermied) mountain lions on the display "mountain" in their large entrance hall. The smaller one looked EXACTLY like what I saw.
