Mountain Lion north of Candlewood Lake

We had a mountain Lion attack our Chicken Coop Monday night, May 31. It came a little after Midnight and made a lot of noise trying to get into the Coop. We shined lights on it from our windows and made our own noise. It did not break the Coop but did open the latch and get our three chickens. We use strong flashlights, but that did not scare the lion away. The size was large and light brown with a long tail. Plus, made the cry like many other youtube videos of the mountain lions. It stays over 15 min over the two times it showed up. It did not seem to worry about us making noise or shining lights on it.

We are in Sherman near the border of New Milford in the area north of Candlewood Lake. We are backed up to a wetland and our Coop is near some small woods touchings the wetlands wood. Submitted by Don F
