Sighting at Fairways Condo in Torrington

On Tuesday, June 7, 2016 I saw a mountain lion walking across on the strip of land behind building 20 of the Fairways in Torrington at approximately 3pm. I saw it through my office window - 144 Spyglass Court. I ran to get my phone, and by the time I found it the mountain lion was gone. I did not feel safe to go outside and look to see if I could find it.
It was full grown...about 3 to 4 times the size of a German Shepherd. The coloring was the same brown shade of a lion...no spots. I don't remember any details about the tail. I'm guessing it went into the nearby woods. I will notify the condo property management. Let me know if you need more info. Submitted by Roseanne Dennerlein
