Sighting in East Hampton
I was traveling home around midnight on November 25, 2012. I was on Rt. 66 in East Hampton near Champion Hill Rd. I did not see the face, but there was no mistaking the body. The tail was long and curled up at the end. The body was tan colored and it stood around 2-3 feet off of the ground. It walked slowly from the edge of the road into the brush. I turned around and when I went back, it was gone. Posted by JB

Yes you just described perfectly a bob cat no mistaking it.

Hmm, either your sarcasm is poor or your an idiot, I’ll vote the later in this case. Look up a “bobcat” and you’ll see that bobcats have a “bobbed” tail hence the name.

curled tail??? sure points closer to a bobcat than a mountain lion….in a ML, CURLED isnt even in the picture.

Thanks. We have a slew of reports from Easthampton MA and the surrounding area coming in as well. Bobcat tails rarely exceed 10 inches, so a “long tail” sure would seem to indicate its not a bobcat.
