Sighting on route 219;West Granby; 5/21; 9:15 pm

Driving home last night I saw very large cat with very long tail on the shoulder of the road. I was coming from Granby and had not quite gotten to the entrance of Enders State Forest. The cat was standings still and looked back over its right shoulder into my headlights. Because the cat was not moving I could get a good look. It was moderate size, probably 80 pounds or so. I did not see any white on its tail. I have seen many bobcats and this was definitely not a bobcat.
