Couger in Hamden
About two weeks ago my wife and I were taking a little drive around Hamden.It was a Sunday morning around 9:30 a.m. On West Todd age.Roughly about 100 yards in front of use what we saw was a very large cat..about the size of a large German Shepard leap across the road in one big hop..the reason I think it was a mountain lion was it looked to be very strong,that tan color and a long tail,as long as it's body.It was a clear day.has any one seen one in this area?

Just arrived home in Wallingford and a large cat about the size of a boxer, ran out from behind the tree across the street and into the woods…moving very fast. Could this have been a Cougar? Are the aggressive toward humans?

Size sounds like a bobcat, tail length is the key. Neither are any danger to humans
