Mount lion in Southbury
On 10/18/15,Sunday morning at 11am. My kids spotted what they thought was a coyote in the backyard laying down. I looked at it and saw a big cat with a long thick tail walking towards the tree line on my property. My property abutts up to a nature preserve . It wasn't a Bobcat because the tail wasto long and body was too big. Lots of deer and Turkeys pass thru my property and it was laying down just off the path back to the preserve. I took a shot at it with a BB and it was the least bit phased by the shot! I'll be ready for it next go round!

Next time, if you’re lucky enough to see it again, take a shot at it with a camera instead.

I agree. If DEEP would educate people instead of denying their existence here in Connecticut, maybe we wouldn’t be reading things like this where people want to shoot them.
