Mountain Lion in Watertown?

I was driving slowly down a country road as my work day began, around 9:15 am. Looking ahead of the car I saw an animal cross the road (Echo Lake Rd, Watertown CT) from the right to left. At first glance I said to myself, "Wow, there's a Bobcat." It didn't take more then a second before I realized it wasn't a Bobcat, of which I have seen many. The animal was long and slender and seemed from my distance to be grayish in color with a long tail. It moved swiftly across the road in a very cat-like manner and disappeared in heavy shrubbery after reaching the other side. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to snap a photo. Even without it I believe I saw a young Mountain Lion. Submitted by: Shane Chasse
