Sighting in Monroe, Ct. 10/5/14

I was driving home, late afternoon, with my daughter in the passenger seat. We were in a heavily wooded area with a lake nearby. I braked when I saw a large tan animal creep out from the woods, about 30-40 feet from the car. I slowed down as it ran across the street and jumped over a stone wall back into the woods. My daughter and I were amazed, we both knew it was a mountain lion. We saw the long tail and huge muscular body as it ran past the car. I pulled over and we watched him run through the woods. He was probably about 120 lbs.
