Siting in Barkhamsted

On 8/11/14 around 8:45 pm I was driving with my sister on Route 179 in Barkhamsted near Legeyt Road when an animal crossed in front of our car. The animal was walking very slowly staring straight at us. At about ten feet away we realized what we were looking at was a medium sized (a little bigger than a german shepard) mountain lion. It was a tan color with a long tail and triangular cat like face. We tried to turn around to get another look but the animal had already disappeared into the woods.
