Sterling mountain lion
Coming home last night at 10:45 my wife and I saw what was clearly a mountain lion. It was crossing Main St, in Sterling, east to west. It vanished into the woods. Long tail, flat face, muscular shoulders, tan. We turned around to see if we would be lucky enough to get another look, of course it was gone. They're here. No doubt about it.

consider yourself lucky, you just saw the ghost of the woods, gone in the blink of an eye,
one of these days one of us is going to get a good picture of one of them.
dense forests, plenty of deer, turkeys and moose to eat, perfect habitat.

Yes it was hard to get to sleep. We went back in the morning to look for prints. But it was street, and weeds leading to the bush. No luck. Talked to a neighbor who has goats. Perhaps the lion, who was coming from his yard, was checking them out?
