Wolcott mountain lion
7/23/2015. My wife was driving up the hill on route 69 around 11:45 am and saw what she at first thought was a big tan dog walking up the hill in the woods in front of the guard rail trying to cross the street to go into a more wooded area going toward boundline rd. She slowed down to get a better look and saw that it looked like a big cat with a long curved thick tail, and black markings on its face, looking very muscular, must have weighed at least 100 pounds. The cat looked at her as she slowed down in her car and got into somewhat of a protective position and hissed and showed teeth at her. No doubt then she was sure it was a mountain lion.

9/26/2015Driving back to Prospect from New Haven Pizza Company, past the elementary school, I believe Woodtick Rd, I spotted what I thought was a mountain lion slinking across a roadside rock formation, just a brief glimpse, at first I thought it was a fox but realized it was too big and the tail was all wrong for a fox. Similar to a large tan dog but not a dog at all.
