Gaylordsville sighting

October 16, 2014, shortly after 6 AM, still dark out, Gaylordsville right along the Housatonic, a mountain lion was sitting in our driveway. There are woods and overgrown meadows nearby but it was walking out in the open. It set off the security light, I think it could tell I was watching from the window. It continued slowly around the side of the house less than 10 ft from the house. Its body was perhaps 4 ft long or so, maybe 2-2.5 ft height of hind quarters. Long curved tail with I think a black tip. Muscular forelegs but otherwise kind of rangy and compact head. It was stalking very slowly and silently. Other family member has seen one behind the house and also at the Gaylordsville softball fields in the early morning in 2012, said it had a long curved tail.
