Mountain Lion Sighting
Saw what I believed to be a mountain lion run across route 6 in Chaplin, CT today. Looked tan with a long cylindrical tail about 30 inches long. Probably weighed 130 pounds and was really fast. Dodged all the cars and I am amazed didnt get hit. There were woods on both sides of the road and was around 2:30pm on 5/19/2015. Wasn't a bobcat or a dog. I was driving and they are so fast I wouldn't have been able to get a picture if I wanted to or even if I was a passenger. Hopefully some day somebody can get decent pics of these elusive magnificent animals to prove that They do exist in CT. Submitted by Jennifer Green
