mountain lion sighting north Canton, CT
I was driving on route 179 in North Canton heading south at 11:27on 5/18/2015 (I only know the exact time because I whipped to the side of the road to try and get a pic) when a medium sized mountain lion ran in front of my car from West to East. It was a few car lengths in front of the road, West Street. He jumped over into a wooded area. A few months before, an acquaintance who lives on High Valley, said his neighbors have seen mountain lions in the vicinity. This one was headed in that direction.
It was tan, sleak (not fluffy like a bobcat), with a long tail. Muscular. I have heard of these and I am truly a believer now. Submitted by Kim Johnson

Kim , I live on 179 and I have too seen a Mt Lion twice. I believe you saw one for sure. 179 and / 309 on the ridge is a frequent spot to see them. My neighbors have seen them to. So don'[t second guess your self.
